How we work
A deliberately boring process, because surprises cost you money
Every engagement follows the same five stages. You will always know what is happening, who is doing it, and what it costs.
Discovery call — free, 30 minutes
A conversation, not a sales pitch. You describe what is not working; we ask questions and tell you honestly whether this is something we do well. Roughly one in five callers is better served by someone else, and we say so.
Scoping session — half a day
We meet the people who do the work, watch the process rather than the org chart, and look at the last three months of reporting. This is where the real problem usually reveals itself, and it is rarely the one described on the phone.
Written proposal — within five business days
Objectives, deliverables, timeline, named adviser and a fixed fee. One page of scope, one page of exclusions. Valid for thirty days, no pressure to sign in the room.
Delivery — 2 to 8 weeks typically
Your adviser sends a written progress note every Friday: what was done, what is next, anything blocking. If scope needs to change, we agree it in writing before any additional work starts. No change is ever billed retrospectively.
Handover and 60-day review — included
Documentation in editable formats, a live training session for the staff who will use it, and a follow-up meeting two months later to check the changes held. That review is part of the original fee, not an upsell.
Commitments we make in writing
Fixed fees
The number in the proposal is the number on the invoice, unless you ask us in writing to do something additional.
One named adviser
The person who scoped the work delivers it. No handing your project to a junior after signature.
No vendor commissions
We are paid by you and nobody else. Software recommendations carry no financial interest for us.
Confidentiality
A mutual NDA is signed before scoping, at our initiative, not yours.
You own the output
All documentation is handed over in editable formats with no licensing conditions attached.
Exit any time
Retained clients give thirty days' notice. There are no minimum terms and no cancellation penalties.
Let's talk about your operations
A 30-minute discovery call is free, practical and pressure-free. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
